Why VIDEO should be a business priority in 2020

As a small business owner, you're already aware of how important it is to build a solid online presence if you intend to grow your business. Videos make up some of the most popular content on the web, that's why creating, publishing and promoting your own videos that speak to your niche will take your marketing to the next level.
Video accounts for nearly 70% of all search traffic as people look up information related to products or services. Video in an email leads to an 200-300% increase in click through rates (SocialMediaToday.com).
Companies provide information in different formats to address the different ways customers receive messages (think 'convenience'). Some people click a video while others would rather read an article, and preferences can change with the reason and intention behind your search. While website articles and blog posts are still excellent ways to inform and educate, a video conveys the same information in a much shorter time while also entertaining viewers.
If you are like me, you experience information overload as you search for something online.
With endless amounts of information at your fingertips, videos are the quickest to navigate...
When I'm shopping for shoes, Zappos has great videos showing the look and feel of their shoes right on their product pages. When I researched financing and construction companies for a new roof on my mother's house, I dove deep into forum's and review websites looking for testimonials and leads on great companies. When I'm reading industry magazines or blogs, I love when a company summarizes their information in an infographic - something I could do more for TASHA.Media!
Research has shown that your potential customers can develop a 'positive impression' of your business simply from an interesting video you've posted. So where does this all lead?
If you aren't using video to deliver value in some way in your business, then you are falling behind the times. For those who don't have even a website, I'd love to know how their business is faring in today's economy.
If you're not using video in your business now, it's time to step into the 21st Century.
Videos are a great solution to provide excellent service to your customers and they are key to increasing your online visibility, credibility and engagement!
My challenge to you is to look at your business and ask yourself, where can a video remove the friction from my customer's journey and dazzle them along the way? How can I deliver value by giving an experience that makes my clients or customers awesome in every way?
What are ways video would be useful to deliver better service?
Please share your answers in the comments below or give me a jingle to find out which video and strategy is best for you.
Best,
Tasha Nesbitt
